Robert Moses Parkway
The Robert Moses Parkway runs downstream through Whirlpool State Park and then along the Lower Rapids to Devil's Hole State Park. Ahead is a view of the massive Robert Moses hydroelectric station. Then comes the campus of the old Niagara University, with the Castellani Art Museum (art of the 18th-20th centuries). The road continues to the Robert Moses State Power Plant then on through the Niagara Escarpment, a fertile fruit growing area, to where the Niagra River flows into Lake Ontario north of Youngstown.

Schoellkopf Geological Museum
North-east of the Rainbow Bridge is the Schoellkopf Geological Museum, which traces 500 million years of geological history in the Niagara area. From the museum the Upper Gorge Nature Trail leads to Whirlpool Rapids State Park.

St Mary of the Cataract Church
The parish of St Mary of the Cataract began in 1836 and is the oldest Catholic Church in Niagara Falls. The sacristy was built in 1813 and the church in 1847. The tower's oldest bell was installed in 1873.

Whirlpool Rapids Bridge
Three mi below the American Falls the river changes course again, forming the Whirlpool in a great cauldron originally created by tectonic movements and turning north-east over the Lower Rapids towards Lake Ontario.

How to reach Niagara Falls

By rail :
Catch the train in Niagara Falls, and travel east to New York City for a weekend of shopping, a Broadway show, or elegant cuisine. Travel by train from Niagra Falls to New York City takes a while, but it can be a relaxing way to make the trip.

By Road :

by car
Car: Definitely the best option to get around. There is a bus line that covers the region (NFTA), but it is nothing special. There is no subway.

By Air :
Niagara Falls Intl Airport (code: IAG) is the closest airport to the falls, but it is only for chartered and private flights.

Myrtle Beach Direct Air offers twice weekly, non-stop service to Myrtle Beach. On site airport parking is free. Plan to get an early start. There are two morning trains and one afternoon train to Niagara Falls from New York each day along the Maple Leaf and Empire Service lines. Business-class seats on the afternoon train tend to go early.

Best Buying Niagara Falls

From thrift shops to designer fashions, shopping in Niagara Falls is sure to please. Whether you love hunting for deals at a brand name outlet store or buying the latest trends from specialty boutiques, our Niagara Falls shopping and services listings will guide you to some of the best places to shop in Niagara Falls. Food, jewelry, electronic equipment or children’s clothing-whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it with our Niagara Falls shopping and services directory.

Everyplace you go in Niagara Falls is trying to sell you some touristy crap. The stuff is not even good quality, it's shoddy at best. Snow Globes, spoons, t-shirts, little bottles of water that "actually went over the falls", heck I could hardly find a good magnet! Any attraction you go to will dump you out in a gift shop at the end. Manuevering your way out is a process.
