How to reach Kufstein

By rail:
There is a train link to Kufstein from Munich and Salzburg airports. It's easy to travel from the UK to Austria by train. Just take a lunchtime Eurostar to Brussels, a high-speed 'Thalys' train to Cologne, then the excellent CityNightLine sleeper overnight to Linz or Vienna, arriving for in time for breakfast. Or an early-evening Eurostar to Paris for the evenly outstanding German sleeper train to Munich with onwards connections next morning for Innsbruck, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt and Vienna. By Road:
Kufstein is then easily reached by car – just off the main A12 (E45/60) motorway – or by train with a good service from most nearby cities. From London expect a 14 hour drive to Kufstein.
 
By Air:
Klagenfurt has its own international airport Flughafen Klagenfurt.
Scheduled flights operate to Klagenfurt from London, Berlin-Tegel, Köln - Bonn, Frankfurt-Main, Hamburg, Hannover, Dusseldorf and Vienna.
Other nearby Airports include Graz, Salzburg, Vienna, Ljubljana, Maribor, Trieste and Venice.

There are good train relations (3-5 hours) to all airports above apart from Ljubljana and Maribor. A private shuttle bus serves Ljubljana and Graz airports from Klagenfurt  , but it must be booked in advance.

Best Buying Kufstein

Riedel glass works Ceramics / Glassware, Kufstein Kufstein is home to the world-famous Riedel glass works; a visit to the factory may be probable. Otherwise you can buy pieces at the factory outlet (Weissachstrasse 28-34. 05372/64896-0), which is open weekdays 9-5:30, Saturday 9-5.
 
Near Airport
 
There are airports at Salzburg 100 km away, (Ryanair, Flybe, HLX), Innsbruck 70 km away, (First Choice) and Munich 160 km away (easyJet). 
 
Near Railway Station

From Innsbruck mainline station - Wörgl, continuing by bus or taxi (about two hours in total)

From Salzburg mainline station – 12km  from Kufstein or Wörgl by bus or taxi (about 2 ½ hours in total).

From Munich mainline station - Kufstein, continuing by bus or taxi.
